Poster Sessions

A new part of the conference will be the poster section which will allow companies that are unable to attend APPEX a low cost opportunity to display their deal(s). The posters will be grouped by region with a degree of standardisation to allow the audience the best chance of understanding each opportunity. We would strongly advise that each poster contains contact details of the person & company farming out as well as a simple location of where the deal is located. It would also be useful to have an idea of the prospect size, what sort of deal terms the seller is expecting and the time frame for activity/offers.

• Academic Poster - £100 + £20.00 VAT = £120.00
• Students Posters – Limited spaces

Please notify registration on arrival (either 5th or 6th March), that you have a poster to put up and they will be able to provide you with further instructions.

New Student Offer

APPEX London, for the first time, is interested in helping potential petroleum industry students attend the APPEX forum in London and display their industry ideas in a poster format alongside industry posters from oil companies hoping to sell their exploration acreage.

APPEX London is the global forum for companies to buy, sell and promote worldwide exploration, development and production deals. The forum comprises talks from oil companies on their ideas for basin prospectivity and/or farm out presentations combined with prospect booths and posters where companies can display their ideas.

Student posters should complement the oil company activity by illustrating new play concepts or new interpretations of old ideas which could lead to new exploration activity (anywhere in the world). Five posters will be selected based on their technical merit and relevance to the APPEX forum. The decision on which posters will be displayed will be made by the APPEX committee.

Any students interested in this idea should submit PDFs of posters (which can be enlarged to 841mm by 594mm) by 3 February 2012. The selected candidates will be notified by 17th February 2012 and will receive free entry to APPEX London which runs from the 6th to 8th March 2012.

Student Guidelines:

Posters should be submitted as pdfs which can be enlarged to 841mm by 594mm and printed in London.
